The amazing Ayra Starr came into the limelight in December 2019 when she uploaded a video singing an original song on her Instagram account.

Fast forward, she was signed as an artist under Mavin Records, and since then, this Celestial being is a gift that keeps on giving! The young star consistently delivers major hits and eccentric performances for the culture, back to back.

Ayra Starr sings a lot about taking back your power, owning your space, and living life on your own terms. But in between all of that is a blend of music for different personalities. As we anticipate her sophomore album, The Year I Turned 21, let’s reminisce on some of her past hits.

What’s your zodiac sign? We bet we can find an Ayra Starr song that matches your vibe!

Aries – Bloody Samaritan

You cannot kill an Aries vibe; they will not take rubbish from you or anyone. This exact energy is matched in Ayra’s bestselling record – Bloody Samaritan. These fire signs bring the biggest energy to every room they walk into. Aries are super confident and like to play quick and dirty. Everything they desire? They go receive.

Taurus – Ija

Ayra Starr’s Ija describes the personality of a Taurus. This earth sign loves the soft life, so the soothing musical and Ayra’s vocals in the song show this off. Taureans love a relaxing and stress-free time, but if you overstep boundaries with or around them, they will very much fight you. Speak softly to a Taurus because their second-nature stubbornness can catch you off-guard. In other words, if you’re looking for trouble, you might find it.

Gemini – Fashion Killer

Their denim’s faded, but they rock it like a baby in a cot (whatever that means). This air sign is colourful, playful, creative and spontaneous. They light up the lives of people around them, and their impulsive, unbothered and extroverted nature sets them apart from other air signs. They process their emotions externally and whether you want to agree or not, they have the best fashion style.

Cancer – Lonely

Cancers have very sensitive and deeply emotional personalities. They have a big heart for the people and things they love. They are hopeless romantics (in a good way) and believe in family and relationships. The lyrics of Ayra Starr’s Lonely speak to Cancer’s fragile emotions and love for romance.

Your Green Flag, Based on Your Zodiac Sign

Leo – Overdose

A typical Leo is lively and joyful. This sign is said to be ruled by the sun, and so they radiate so much confidence. These astrological divas love the spotlight, and Ayra’s verse on Overdose does the trick for this one. The L in Leo stands for luxury, so don’t be fazed when they tell you that if it’s signed by me, then it’s an autograph.

Virgo – Love Don’t Cost a Dime

Virgos are Independent, practical realists on the outside and soft-hearted lovers on the inside. A Virgo needs to feel safe enough to open up to show their most intimate and vulnerable selves, but when they do – there’s no holding back. These true lovers of the zodiac signs consistently prove that with them, love is true, and it doesn’t cost a dime.

Libra – Sare

Libras are romantics. They love the fairytale and buzz that comes with being and falling in love. The mild tempo and sweet tune of Ayra Starr’s Sare speak to a lover’s intimate thoughts to their partner, and this describes the Libra’s vibe half the time. These daydreamers wear their hearts on their sleeves and can often be found fantasizing about their one true lover.

Scorpio – Bridgertn

This sign has a reputation for being intense, enigmatic, and bold. Half the time, you can’t tell what’s going on in their mind. They could easily be misunderstood as rebels, but it’s just their mystic personalities shining through. Just like Ayra’s Bridgertn, they’re independent-minded, strong-willed and rule-breakers.

Sagittarius – Away

Ayra’s Away tells the story of a lady who just can’t be stressed by a man who’s clearly not her type. A Sagittarius can relate to this because you simply cannot stress a Sag. These free spirits are very quick to move on from any energy that isn’t their vibe. Their curious and constant need for something new means they are always on the go, so take all your troubles away from them.

Capricorn – Ase

Capricorns have super ambitious personalities. A typical Capricorn isn’t affected by society’s standards or demands. They are headstrong, not afraid to moon-walk on anyone in their way, and truly committed to living life on their own terms. Ayra’s Ase is as relatable to a Capricorn as it sounds.

Aquarius – Cast

Aquarius are the official nonconformists of the zodiac signs. The subtle melody and free-spirited replay of Ayra’s Cast live up to the Aquarius’s calm and labelled rebel aura. These air signs are either fascinated about something or utterly indifferent. To them, life has no limitations but the ones you make.

Pisces – Beggie Beggie

Pisces are very intense romantics. This sign absolutely loves love and is more likely to sing Ayra’s beggie beggie to their love interest. They are sensitive and gentle-hearted people. A typical Pisces is in touch with their emotions, fiercely loyal, and would do the most to make their lover happy.

P.S. Ckay’s verse on this song is most likely an Aries or Sagittarius response to a love song.
