I’m usually not the girl who cries for movies so when I say the wedding scene in Crazy Rich Asians left me with goosebumps and tears in my eyes, you know it was something! The scenery, Araminta’s gorgeous gown, the flower candle lights, the little lilies on the aisle, the little brides, and oh my goodness – the live performance of I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You as the bride walked down the aisle. The Wedding Party was once one of Nollywood’s biggest movies. It showcases the diversity of inter-ethnic Nigerian marriage culture. From Adesua’s wedding dress disaster to Banky W’s dangerous Bachelor reveal, Sola Sobowale’s iconic dance steps, and side chick drama. The Wedding party holds the top spot for showing off an exceptional BTS of a dramatic Nigerian wedding.
7. Edwina and Anthony in Bridgerton S2
I most definitely held my breath through this wedding scene. From the tension in the room, the knowing looks of the wedding guests, and Lord Anthony and Kate’s intense gaze, I knew the wedding was already a failure. The classic Disney cliche where Kate’s bracelet fell to the ground while she and Anthony knelt to pick it up at the exact same time, with eyes never leaving each other was breathtaking.
