Lagos, Nigeria – October 28, 2023 – The LIFT event, held at 7 Mike Adegbite Avenue, Lekki Phase 1 on October 28, 2023, concluded with an outstanding turnout and unprecedented success.

Organized by 21 Magazine, this flagship event attracted over 70 attendees from across the city. The event featured a variety of activities, including a calming pilates class led by Oritsema of Storehouse Wellness, a workshop on self-breast examinations and breast cancer prevention by Sebeccly Cancer Care, and a journaling session led by our founder, Fifunmi Osinubi.

Attendees were treated to light refreshments, and excitement buzzed as women enjoyed Tarot readings from Zara of Oparline, while others participated in a deeply introspective body positivity workshop with Karina Karunwi of Ere Wellness. The highlight of the day was a sensuality dance class led by a dancer from the Institute of Counseling in Nigeria, where attendees danced freely, embracing their body’s sensations and rhythms.

Fifunmi Osinubi, our founder, shared her thoughts during the event: ‘LIFT is just the beginning. We’re committed to crafting more thoughtful, intimate initiatives for our community and women throughout Africa. This strongly aligns with The 21 Magazine’s mission to create inclusive, welcoming spaces that foster community and a sense of belonging. We’re confident we achieved this with LIFT and can’t wait to see what the future has in store!’

To ensure the success of this event, we partnered with exceptional women-owned brands such as Sebeccly Cancer Care, Storehouse Wellness, Ere Wellness, The Institute of Counseling in Nigeria, and Oparline. These partnerships enriched the diversity and depth of offerings at LIFT, transforming it into an event focused on holistic well-being and empowerment.

In addition, leading beauty and skincare companies collaborated with us to provide swag bags for our attendees. These partnering brands include Blue Poppy, Zaron, Uncover Africa, Greenlys, and Rebirth Essentials.
