On March 28, 21 Magazine hosted the third edition of Girls That Gather, formerly known as Girls Girls Girls, our evolving event series dedicated to bringing women together in thoughtful and engaging ways. In February, we hosted a Girls That Gather for the Galentine’s season, which focused on food, friendship, and the satisfaction of creating something with your hands. Now, in celebration of International Women’s Month, this March edition transformed Fired and Iced, Lekki Phase 1, into a pink and silver wonderland filled with joy, creativity, and connection.
Girls That Gather: A Space Designed for Connection

From the moment guests walked in, the atmosphere was lit up with pink lanterns, flag garlands and silver disco balls. The scene was warm and inviting, and the décor set the tone. But it was the people who brought the space to life. Women arrived in groups, came solo, reconnected with friends, and met new ones. Conversations flowed easily, laughter carried across the room, and there was an openness that made it easy to settle in.
One of the highlights of the day was the range of experiences available. There were stations such as wellness and beauty. Each station offered something different, inviting guests to explore creativity, reflection, and self-expression.

In the wellness station, tarot card readings by Raks drew a steady crowd, with attendees curious about what their cards might reveal. Close by, complimentary wellness consultations by NDIDI and Komfot Health provided a more intimate form of care, offering practical insights into personal wellbeing. Guests also had access to purchasing journals and wellness cards from NayLiving, thoughtful items that extended the experience beyond the event itself.

For those who wanted something hands-on, the jewellery-making session by Fairy Beads became a favourite. Strangers sat side by side, sharing beads, ideas, and conversation as they created pieces to take home. Tattoos by Lazy Artist added another layer of expression, with guests choosing designs that felt personal and memorable.

The live beat-making workshop offered a different kind of engagement, inviting attendees into the process behind the music. As the day progressed, the dance floor filled naturally. Guests sang along, moved freely, and embraced the moment without hesitation.
These activities created opportunities for connection in subtle but meaningful ways. People talked, shared stories, and found common ground through simple acts of making and experiencing.

Food, Drinks, and a Thoughtful Marketplace

The sensory experience extended to food and drinks. Cocktails by DOSE were a highlight, offering refreshing options throughout the day. Complimentary popcorn from Beauty Hut added a playful touch, while lip balms from Shea Tribe gave guests something small but useful to take home.

The chicken wings at Fired and Iced quickly became a talking point. Guests returned to them throughout the event, and by the end of the day, they had earned a reputation of their own.

The vendor area was filled with brands that reflected a wide range of styles and ideas. Guests browsed at their own pace, discovering new favourites and supporting local businesses.

From lingerie and loungewear by Lauxes. Co to hair offerings from Ruxe Hair, each brand brought something distinct. April Nordic showcased home décor pieces, while Cape & Coco offered skincare essentials. Clothing from Nandra sat alongside beaded jewellery by Stitches by Lope, sunshades from IXI Label, and footwear by Sevy by Yves.
Kayclo presented athleisure and swimwear, and By Ore displayed crocheted designs that drew attention for their craftsmanship. The marketplace curation allowed the attendees to explore and discover various brands and experiences.
Music, Performances, and ending on a high energy

Music shaped the rhythm of the day, thanks to We Are ProducHERS. DJ Nezer curated a set that moved effortlessly between moods, keeping the energy consistent from start to finish.

At night, the event turned into an after-party called After Glow, in partnership with Beauty Hut. Live performances by Karah and Raine (courtesy of We Are ProducHERS) brought moments of stillness and attention, as guests gathered to listen and take in the music. Their sets added depth to the experience, balancing the livelier parts of the event with something more reflective.

Looking Ahead

The success of the event was supported by a network of partners and sponsors who contributed to different aspects of the experience. Sponsors Uncover and Beauty Hut played a key role, while partners such as Drevnii Monah, NDIDI, and Severe Nature added their own touch through products and activations. These collaborations felt cohesive and aligned with the spirit of the event, and we are utterly grateful to them and everyone who celebrated with us.
As the event came to a close, there was a shared sense that something meaningful had taken place. Guests left with more than just items or photos. They carried conversations, new connections, and memories of a day spent in good company.
Girls That Gather continues to grow as a space where women can come together in ways that feel genuine and fulfilling. With each edition, it builds on its foundation while remaining rooted in what matters most.
There is already anticipation for what comes next, and if this edition is any indication, the future of Girls That Gather is one worth showing up for.
