The 21 Magazine is thrilled to announce the success of its recent participation in the inaugural Unilag Women’s Society Hall Week. The event, which took place from June 2nd to June 8th at the University of Lagos, saw The 21 Mag play a pivotal role in fostering community, empowerment, and education among young women.
As a leading force in Nigerian and African women’s empowerment and community building, 21 Magazine was invited to collaborate with the Unilag Women’s Society (ULWS) to enhance their Hall Week experience. On Saturday, June 2nd, we hosted “Girl Talk: Body, Sex, and Soul,” an engaging and insightful session focused on sexual health and wellness.

Our distinguished speaker, Tunde, known as ‘Whore D’oeuvre’ – a sexual health and wellness educator – captivated the audience with her dynamic presentation. Tunde, who embraces the dual identity of The Pleasure Priest, seamlessly blended humour, honesty, and relatability to cover crucial topics such as consent, body positivity, sexual safety, effective communication, and mental health support.
The session began with a 10-15 minute movement segment, setting a comfortable and interactive tone. As the talk progressed, more women joined, filling the hall and creating an enthusiastic and engaged audience. Tunde’s ability to share her experiences and foster an open dialogue resonated deeply with the attendees, making the event both educational and memorable.

Following the talk, we conducted a Q&A session based on Tunde’s teachings. Attendees participated actively, answering questions and winning exciting prizes for their correct responses. This interactive approach helped reinforce the key points discussed during the session and provided a lively, engaging conclusion to our segment.
Later in the day, the Unilag Women’s Society held a social mixer, during which our conversation cards were utilized, further fostering connections among the participants.
