Horror is such an interesting genre. The creativity, effects and plots are usually so brilliant. While watching a scary movie, you never quite know what to expect, so it keeps you on your toes. There are a million billion and one horror movies today, so if you’re either by yourself or snuggled up with your boo confused on what movie to watch that will scare you shitless? look no further.
With that said, I can personally vouch that these movies are one of the most terrifying films you will ever see.
So let’s get to it, shall we?
THE CONJURING – 18/21
The conjuring is hands down one of the scariest movies you will ever see. Even the trailer alone is enough to frighten you for days, talk less of the movie itself. It’s one of the best out of the conjuring series and of course is based on true events. Is there anything scarier than a horror movie based on a true story? I don’t think so.

THE NUN – 16/21
If you are a fan of The Conjuring series, you will definitely love this. Its honestly a very terrifying film. If anyone tells you tells you this movie isn’t scary, sorry oh!
Great story and perfect acting from the cast. A must watch for the horror movie lovers.

US – 18/21
Starring the amazing Lupita Nyong’o and directed by the brilliant Jordan Peele, this movie will scare you and entertain you at the same time. It has the craziest plot twist I have personally ever seen in a horror movie. THAT ENDING??!! I still sometimes think about it

THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE – 20/21
The haunting of hill house isn’t your regular ghost story. It’s a fantastic piece of writing, this show is *IT*.
It raises the bar so high, any other horror movie or series you watch afterwards will just seem basic AF.
Every episode is so intriguing, you wouldn’t be able to stop watching until you finally finish.

SINISTER – 16.5/21
This movie will definitely creep you out. I mean, the first scene literally shows four people being hung from a tree. There are a lot of gore scenes so be prepared.
Serious Wahala for who no get 24 hour light because if Nepa should take light while watching, sorry for you.

THE RING – 18/21
This classic horror movie will always send chills down my spine. It’s an incredibly well made and well-crafted movie. It isn’t glory at all, but still remains hauntingly creepy; that’s how you know a good horror movie.

INSIDIOUS 17.5/21
If you’re on the hunt for something creepy and interesting with jump scares here and there, this is a great choice.
The acting is remarkable and I loved the plot twist. Part 3 is supposed to be the first movie, while this one, is supposed to be the third? I found it a little confusing but I just loved all the twists and turns!

THE HILLS HAVE EYES – 15/21
My goodness.
This movie is very dark, gory and disturbing. There’s actually so much unnecessary violence in it, but it’s a brilliant film for horror fans. This 2006 remake of the 1977 movie definitely isn’t for the faint hearted.
