Girls That Gather: Galentine Edition

On February 28, 21 Magazine brought its signature community energy to life with a special edition of Girls That Gather, previously known as Girls Girls Girls, our Galentine’s celebration, hosted at Pizza Garden with our drink sponsors, Drevnii Monah. Designed as a playful, immersive experience, this edition centred around one thing we all love: food, friendship, and the joy of doing something with our hands.

From the moment guests arrived, it was clear this wasn’t going to be just any hangout.

What went down at the Girls That Gather: Galentine’s Edition?

The afternoon unfolded as an intimate gathering of 18 women, each stepping into a warm, welcoming space that had been transformed into our own little haven of creativity and connection. Waiting for them were personalised aprons, each one customised with their names, setting the tone for an experience that felt thoughtful.

With welcome drinks courtesy of Drevnii Monah in hand, guests eased into the day, quickly slipping into conversation as introductions turned into laughter. The atmosphere struck that perfect balance Girls That Gather has become known for — soft, easy intimacy with just enough structure to spark new connections.

Then, the main event began.

Guided through the pizza-making experience, guests rolled up their sleeves (quite literally) and got to work crafting their own pizzas from scratch. There was something disarming about the process, playful debates over toppings, and the kind of unfiltered joy that comes from trying something new in good company.

As the pizzas baked, conversations deepened. What started as light chatter about work, relationships, and weekend plans slowly opened into more meaningful exchanges. The kind that reminds you why spaces like this matter.

Wine, Warm Slices, and the Soft Magic of Community

Throughout the experience, Drevnii Monah ensured the energy remained effortlessly elevated. Drinks flowed from arrival through to the pizza-making process, and into the final dining moment, where guests sat down to enjoy the fruits of their labour.

There’s a particular kind of satisfaction in eating something you’ve made yourself, even better when it’s shared at a table full of women who, just hours before, were strangers. By the time the first slices were served, the room had shifted into something softer, fuller. Conversations overlapped, phones came out for photos, and laughter lingered just a little longer.

A Moment for Girls

This Galentine’s edition of Girls That Gather leaned into something more intentional, allowing connection to unfold organically.

As with every Girls That Gather event, the goal remains the same: to build a community where women can show up fully, connect meaningfully, and leave feeling just a little more full, in every sense of the word.

This Galentine’s edition proved anything, it’s that sometimes, all you really need is good wine, warm pizza, and the right people at the table.
