Dr Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas
Originally a book by Dr Seuss, turned into a live action movie starring Jim Carrey. Jim Carrey is an over the top hilarious actor so this film was just perfect for him. It’s about a Grinch who despises Christmas and everything that has to do with the season. Then much to his surprise comes a six year old girl determined to change his mind about the joyous holiday. This is a classic that has inspired many other movies and much more.

The Holidate
When a young single woman gets tired of her mother setting her up with weird people and showing up at family holiday dinners alone, she decides to find a holidate; a platonic person to accompany her to family gatherings and other holiday functions. This movie is actually very cheesy but also quite entertaining at the same time. Its light hearted and something to pass time with. It stars Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey.

Last Holiday
Queen Latifah and stars in this heart-warming movie about a woman who finds out she is terminally ill and decides to travel to Europe to spend all her money. Upon getting to what she thinks will be her Last Holiday, she finds out that she was actually misdiagnosed and is as healthy as a whistle. Queen Latifah was perfect for this role! Its a good watch and a perfect holiday movie.

Nailed it! Holiday!
Not in the mood for movies? Don’t fret. Nailed it! Holiday! is a perfect alternative. It’s a reality bake off show where every week, 3 amateur bakers compete to replicate a difficult cake for a cash price of $10,000. It’s really funny and chaotic because they are proper amateurs. If you’re a fan of cooking and baking shows, you would love this!
P:S don’t get invested in any of the contestants, because there are different people every week.

Home Alone
You have to be living under a rock if you haven’t watched or heard about this movie. The first film came out 30 years ago and is still one of the most talked about holiday movies. The way Kevin McCallister plots and schemes his way throughout the whole movie is hilarious and entertaining. Did you have a good childhood if you never saw Home Alone? I don’t think so. is an epitome of everyone childhood.
The other parts weren’t as good as the first original movie, but it’s still worth the watch this Christmas.

Lily And Dash
This is a new Netflix series that came out early November. It’s about a girl and a boy, Lily and Dash, who fall in love with each other by writing in a notebook and leaving it in strategic places for each other without actually meeting. Its an interesting watch, it gives off fairytale vibes, so if you’re a lover of romance, give it a shot. It’s also rather short, you can binge the entire series in a day.
Not like you have better plans.

A Bad Moms Christmas
A sequel to the 2016 movie Bad Moms, this is such a funny watch. I personally love watching family comedies during Christmas and this one is so hilarious. I honestly cannot decide which is funnier between the first movie and this. The entire female cast were amazing, and the story line was relatable.

The Princess Switch
Vanessa Hudgens made her Netflix Christmas debut with The Princess Switch. This movie really gives hallmark vibes, AKA straight to DVD vibes. I mean, its a cute movie, but also painfully cheesy. Vanessa Hudgens does double-time playing two lookalike women who switch places the week before Christmas. It’s a refreshing fairytale love story and is super family friendly.
Available on Netflix.
Also, the second part of the movie The Princess Switched Again is also available to stream on Netflix.
It’s just as bad good as the first one.

Let it Snow
Based on a book by John Green, Let It Snow is a movie about a group of teenagers who are brought together by a snowstorm that hits on Christmas Eve. The movie explores romantic relationships between people from different backgrounds, and is actually a good watch. Although, I recommend reading the book for better entertainment.

Love Actually
Love Actually is a classic 2003 film written and directed by Richard Curtis. A wonderful romantic comedy that’s hugely entertaining and heart warming with an all-star cast. Its about eight London couples trying to deal with their individual relationships in their own way. If you love romantic comedy movies like Valentine’s Day, you’ll love this.

This Christmas
Staring a young and adorable Chris Brown, comes this fun holiday drama. This movie is about the Whitfield siblings that come home to their mother Shirley after four years, to celebrate Christmas. Its really funny and dramatic with an all black cast. My favorite kind of movie!
