On arrival, guests moved through a space that had been considered. The chill zone offered a place to decompress between sets, somewhere to sit, talk, and take in the night without being pulled away from it. The cocktail menu kept things approachable and flavour-forward: Ballantine’s and Apple, Ballantine’s Lightening, and Ballantine’s Sour gave guests multiple ways into the whisky, whether they were already familiar with the liquid or trying it for the first time.


The DJ lineup alone told the story of what ActivYard represents. AFDJ, Crayvelli, Danielino, Davesound, DJ Shawn, Energetic Adeniyi, HeavyPapa, Hillary, Lami, Lil Gee, MNSTT, Smallz The DJ, Titanium, and Valor held the night across hours of music that ranged in texture and energy without ever losing its thread. YKB performed as he does at every ActivYard edition, with the kind of ease and command that comes from knowing exactly who is in the room and what they came for.
When the rain arrived mid-event, it was briefly unclear which direction the night would go. The crowd made that decision quickly. Nobody left. If anything, the rain seemed to sharpen the energy, and what followed was some of the most committed dancing of the night. In Lagos, that is not unusual. But it is always worth noting.

Ballantine’s has been a consistent presence at ActivYard, and that consistency is deliberate.
