5 Key Players for a Successful Girls’ Night Out

A girls’ night out isn’t just an event—it’s a carefully orchestrated experience and every great experience needs the right cast of characters. There is a specific formula for a successful girls’ night out: from the bodyguard who protects her friends to Ms. Pretty privilege whose beauty provides access for the squad, each role is essential for turning an ordinary night out into an unforgettable one. Whether you’re hitting the clubs or keeping it low-key with cocktails and karaoke, here’s a breakdown of the star players who make girls’ night out legendary.

Fun Things To Do With Your Girlfriends On A Night Out In Lagos

The Charismatic

This girl has a PHENOMENAL personality. Trust that she will command the attention of everyone within her vicinity and make friends with any stranger that can elevate the enjoyment of her besties—from whining policemen on the road to avoid a stop and search to speaking to that one person that can grant the whole squad VIP access the event.

The Charismatic player is the life of the party but it is her adaptability to any situation that makes her a cherished member of the squad. She will and can make friends with anyone and everyone, so even if at any point the girl’s night is turning sour, with her rizz, she would be able to identify the right person within the room that can turn the squad’s lemons to a very juicy and fresh lemonade.

The Bodyguard

Ooh the bodyguard don’t play about her girls. She is the strict friend, and although her strictness may initially come across as party pooping, she is a gem because she keeps her besties from getting into avoidable trouble. The bodyguard is the friend that will force you to skip another round of shots when she sees you’re too drunk. She’s the friend that will give you a stank eye, nasty enough to reset your brain, when she notices that you want to leave the party with a stranger or text your ex. She’s the friend that is ready to throw hands with a man that wants to ruin the sacredness of the girls’ night out with his creepiness. She’s the friend who will not let any vendor rip you off.

The Bodyguard in her truest form is just a big softie momma bear who doesn’t want anything bad happening to her friends. She brings a sense of sanity and security that provides a much needed balance to a wild and crazy girls’ night out. Sometimes, for the sake of the bodyguard, try to be on your best behavior so that she too has the chance to let her hair down.

Ms. Plan B

Ms. Plan B is the popular girl  and her motto whenever her besties are in a fix is ‘I know a guy…’ When it comes to human resources, she’s the queen. While hanging out one-on-one with her may take some getting used to because people are always walking up to say hi and thus, interrupting the hangout, you will find that she is an underrated gem for a successful girls’ night out.

However the original plan for the girls’ night out wants to go haywire, don’t fret because Ms. Plan B knows who will fix the uncertainties of the night. Best believe that she will get the squad out of any funk. The event y’all agreed on isn’t popping? Thankfully, Ms. Plan B happens to know the host of another awesome event that’s happening that very minute. Unfortunately network is down and you girls can’t order an uber to get there? Well, it just happens that Ms Plan B’s cousin’s husband’s niece is at the same venue as y’all and she’s willing to give the squad a ride—in her G-wagon convoy. Okay, you girls are at the new venue but somehow food finished as you entered? Relax, Ms. Plan B is texting the host the contact of her caterer who will pull through at any goddam time. She has a whole arsenal of useful people that are ready to save her damsels in distress—a priceless player!

The Rider

This friend ALWAYS passes the vibe check. It doesn’t matter what the event is—a book club reading, shaking ass on a yatch, sip and paints, raves, a cosy evening at the beach—she’s a professional plus one, so she’s going to go along with the get along.

The rider is an MVP on a girls’ night out because you don’t have to worry too much about whether or not she’s having a great time, and it’s because she’s just happy to be outside with her besties. That’s literally enough for her. She gives the girls in the group (especially the girl who planned the outing) an extra shot of confidence, with them assured that there’s that one person they can rely on to be the last man standing. So, when things aren’t going exactly as planned, you won’t ever catch her frowning or whining too much. You won’t ever catch her asking to go home early. You won’t ever catch her chickening out from a spontaneous adventure. Trust that the girlies make the best memories with The Rider.

7 Women Share Their Most Outrageous Nights Out

Ms. Pretty Privilege

With a face card that never declines and a banging body, one thing Ms. Pretty Privilege is going to provide the group on a night out is * free access to creme de la creme treatment*. Seriously, to automatically make the whole night more seamless, the girls’ night out needs the belle of the ball (who is willing to flirt).

Forget your wallets at home and marvel at how her face card pays for everything. The group needs more drinks brought to the table? Get her to smile at a big baller. The group forgot to make reservations? Go to the venue and let her blink at the bouncers at the door. Her beauty will move mountains for the squad, that’s an OG player right there.

This combination for an amazing night out with your girlfriends is lethal, you gon’ have a good time for sure. Let us know in the comments which key player you’re!
