Don’t you just hate when a movie or TV show you’ve been heavily invested in leaves you feeling annoyed, upset and just plain old angry? If you don’t know what I’m talking about, keep reading – I’ve compiled a list of the most annoying movie and tv endings.
1. Friends
First of all, I said what I said!
I love Friends like crazy. I even rewatched it twice during quarantine, but the final episode really pissed me off. It was very unfair how Joey didn’t get a major character development and he didn’t have his happily ever after. Also, I can’t believe Ross and Racheal ended up together, they were the most toxic couple! On the other hand, I loved the ending Monica, Chandler and Phoebe got.

2. Gilmore Girls
Gilmore Girls was and will always be such a loveable and heart warming show. Sadly, the ending wasn’t what we all expected. It just seemed so rushed, literally. Luke and Lorelai’s relationship didn’t have the ending I was rooting and hoping for.

3. Baby Driver
I really enjoyed Baby Driver. It’s such a great movie with an even better soundtrack and superb driving getaway scenes, but the ending was unrealistic (as was the whole movie if we’re being completely honest).

4. How I Met Your Mother
Tell me why I spent 9 years watching this show for it to have such a terrible ending. The worst part is, the creators already knew how it was going to end from the very beginning. Divorcing Robin & Barney, killing off the show’s titular mother and then reuniting Ted & Robin ?! Whoever told the writers and creators that the fans were still heavily invested in Ted & Robin’s romance, lied. We didn’t want that, no one wanted that.
And after everything, after witnessing Barney’s character development and growth, they decided to just take him back to square one? Worst ending in TV history.

5. Lucy
I admit this movie’s plot was quite original and interesting (a world where a woman is capable of accessing 100% of her brain? genius). However, the ending was tragically hilarious. She turned into a flash drive, a flash drive, really? That’s all I’m going to say.

6. Game of Thrones
They really robbed Jon Snow out of every single major win, however I loved that Arya Stark was the one who killed the Night King. If I’m being completely honest, the ending wasn’t so bad, I was just sad for Jon Snow. However, other GOT fans didn’t seem so pleased, as there was even a petition to remake season 8 with ”competent writers”.

7. Gossip Girl
I’ll start with this: Why was Dan Gossip Girl? It made no sense and it ruined the show for me. Dan being Gossip girl meant he was actually a psychopath (You know, like his character in YOU). Although I really disliked the ending, I’ll always binge it every chance I get because you just can’t deny that the show was so messy, and what’s more entertaining than drama?

8. Sex Life
This was a very addictive watch (Especially 20 minutes in to Episode 3!) but however the ending was terrible. You’re telling me that after everything Billie put Cooper through, she still ran back to Brad ?! It gave me a bitter sweet feeling because although I hated how the season ended, I can’t wait for season 2. It doesn’t change the fact that the season ended horribly.

9. Knock Knock
A happily married man/father (Keanu Reeves) makes the mistake of letting two young girls into his home while his wife and kids are away for the weekend, only to find himself in a steamy threesome. This movie ending was annoying because no explanation was offered for their exploits (the girls later revealed themselves to be underage and they vandalized his home, sexually assaulted him while filming it, and uploaded the video to Facebook). There was no justice for Keanu Reeves’ character at all.
