Dating in Lagos is not an easy task, but when you find a good partner it’s a beautiful feeling. With all the fun and beauty of being in a relationship comes the challenges of gift giving and the planning of dates. It’s so easy to run out of ideas when it comes to these two activities, so it’s okay if you need some help. I have not yet mastered the art of gift giving but what I have mastered is planning of dates. I always say I’m a giver so here are 6 luxury date ideas for your partner in the city of Lagos.

Yes ladies, you do not have to travel out of the country for a luxurious time with your boo. There’s so much to do in Lagos, the possibilities are endless.

Sandy Beach and Ocean Breeze:

If your partner loves the water then they are going to love this. Plan a beautiful picnic on a private beach at sunset with all of his/her favorite things; favorite wine, fruits, pastries, salads, just things you are sure they are going to love. Remember sis, its not about you.

A restaurant by the beach is also a great idea. There are a number of beach side restaurants in Lagos; Shiro Restaurant and Bar, Moist Beach Club, Hard Rock Café and so many others.

Rooftop and Views:

Fine dinning with a stunning view is always a great date idea. Some great locations are Chai Tang at Twin Waters, 788 On The Sea and The Sky Restaurant. These are just a few places that offer a remarkable view of Lagos and they definitely feel like luxury. You and your partner are bound to have a great time here.

Movie night, but blow his/her mind:

Ladies! Movie night is a long standing tradition when it comes to dates but how about you step it up a notch. Blow his/her mind with a private viewing of their favorite movie… yes, you have to let them pick.

I already did the work, Filmhouse Lekki offers a number of private viewing experiences for you and your special someone.

Dinner Date On a Yacht:

Before you come for me, I said luxury, remember? It doesn’t get more intimate than this, you can do anything romantic on a yacht; a weekend getaway or even a romantic dinner (Sounds like exactly what I need, tbh).

Enjoy a beautiful dinner by the ocean with delicious food, wine and great music. Did I mention it’s a great setting for beautiful pictures? well, it is!

Spa Date:

Whether its a full body massage or a facial, a spa is a great way to unwind and relax with your partner. There are a number of excellent spas in Lagos with various offerings and treatment methods. Some of these establishments even offer home services.

Prepare a Home-Cooked meal:

This is for our homebodies who love to cook. You can make a home-cooked meal feel like a luxury dinner with the right setting. You might have to whip out the candles, rose petals and provide some soothing music, but overall it’s definitely doable.

Enjoy a romantic dinner at home with your partner, this makes the gesture even more sentimental. Also, think of all the sex you’ll have afterwards.

Now that you have these luxury date ideas you can put together for your partner in Lagos, let me know what you think, and if you’ll be trying any. I’d love to hear all about it!
