Here’s Why You *Need* To Add Mskin Studios’ ‘Glow Forever Oil’ To Your Skincare Routine

For the longest time, I avoided applying any kind of oil to my skin because I feared it would make me breakout, clog my pores and worst of all, make my oily skin even oiler. There had been times I felt adventurous and tried using the likes of olive oil and coconut oil on my skin, and I can tell you for free that I regretted it instantly. This left me with a lot of misconceptions. Especially as I did not have sufficient information about facial oils and whether or not they should be a part of my skincare routine.

A good number of people tend to skip the facial oil step in their skincare routine because they either do not see it as necessary or like Moi, they have had frightening experiences using them. My opinion regarding the use of facial oils changed when I discovered the Nigerian beauty brand Mskin Studios and their bestselling ‘Glow Forever Oil’, a luxury non-comedogenic luxury facial oil with seven active ingredients that everyone seems to love and cannot stop raving about. I just knew I had to give it a try.

During my research on facial oils, I discovered they are like skin food. A good facial oil as the last step in your night-time skincare routine can make a world of difference in the general health, overall appearance, hydration levels and even the texture of your skin. Can it get any better than that? Well based on my research and personal experience, here are four things adding facial oils to your routine can do for your skin irrespective of your skin type, as well as my thoughts on the highly acclaimed Mskin Studio’s Glow Forever Oil.

1. Facial Oils Seal In The Moisture In Your Skin

Applying facial oils as the last step in your night-time skincare routine is known to be the most effective way to seal in moisture and add extra nourishment to your skin. I personally always used to skip this step because I felt it was unnecessary. But I noticed a significant improvement in the moisture and hydration levels of my skin since using the ‘Glow Forever Oil’ as the last step in my night-time skincare routine.

Mskin Studios Glow forever oil contains Rosehip Oil which is known for many things especially its moisturizing and hydrating effects. Facial oils serve as a protective layer over your skin and helps your serums and creams stay on all night causing them to penetrate deep into the skin, making them even more effective. The resultant effect; it moisturizes and nourishes your skin, leaving you with soft and supple skin when you wake up.

2. Facial Oils Promote A More Radiant And Even Complexion

As the name implies, the ‘Glow Forever Oil’ has been highly acclaimed for how radiant it leaves your skin after consistent use, thanks to Rosehip Oil and Sweet Almond Oil as one of its key active ingredients. Rosehip Oil derived from Rosehips, which are believed to have more Vitamin C present than an orange or lemon. And sweet almond oil, which is popularly known for its ability to improve skin tone and complexion.

This facial oil in combination with your favorite serum and hydrating moisturizer to combat hyperpigmentation at night is *chef’s kiss*. I noticed a huge difference in my complexion while testing out this product. It helped to even out and brighten my skin tone, as well as reduce hyperpigmentation and acne scarring.

3. Facial Oils Help With Cell Regeneration And Collagen Formation

You know you are adulting when collagen formation and cell regeneration become an important thing to look out for when taking care of your skin and one of the active ingredients in Mskin Studio’s ‘Glow Forever Oil’, Jojoba Oil helps your skin do just that. Jojoba Oil has been found to help your body produce Collagen which is a source of protein naturally produced in the body. It is acclaimed to improve skin elasticity, increase blood flow to the skin and improve the overall health of your skin, giving your skin that supple, youthful look while aging gracefully. I was actually pleasantly surprised to notice how plump and supple my skin felt the morning after using this product.

4. Facial Oils Help Control Sebum Production. Surprised?

This came as a shock to me too! As a proud oily skin girl, one of my biggest fears of using any kind of oil on my face was that it would make my skin oilier and clog my pores. However, to my surprise I found that the Glow Forever Oil helped to control sebum production and made my skin significantly less oily during the day, overtime. I have had my fair share of mishaps in the past with using random oils on my face without confirming whether they were non-comedogenic and guess what, it was not cute.

Editor’s Tips And Recommendation

Facial oils may seem pretty basic, but they are truly an important part in your skincare routine. They not only make you feel luxurious but provide your skin with the extra nourishment it needs for it to thrive and look its best.

If are you currently on the lookout for a facial oil to give your skin an extra oomph, please ensure it is non-comedogenic, meaning it will not clog your pores. I personally would advise only applying the oil at night as the last step in your skincare routine. I highly recommend the Mskin Studios ‘Glow Forever Oil’ whether you have dry, combination or oily skin. Your skin will thank you for it and of course; you can thank me too!
