Lagos turned up the charm and turned down the rules as Smirnoff Ice’s Chilltopia took over the Eagle Club, Surulere, for the 2025 International Youth Day celebration. Under the daring call to “Dare to Chill”, the city’s heartbeat synced to a wave of bold flavours, irresistible beats, and electric energy. From the first step through the gates to the last drop in their glasses, guests were swept into a kaleidoscope of music, laughter, and unforgettable moments, proving once again that when Smirnoff Ice throws a party, it’s more than an event; it’s a vibe.
From the moment guests crossed the threshold, they were plunged into a world that pulsed with colour, sound, and connection. The mantra was unmistakable: “Together We Chill.” This wasn’t your average weekend hangout, it was a masterfully crafted, high-energy playground where Smirnoff’s spirit of boldness, inclusivity, and pure fun came alive in every beat, sip, and shared smile.
The event space was a visual feast. Every Smirnoff variant: Double Black, Pineapple, and the classic Smirnoff Ice Original, had its dedicated corner, each designed to reflect its unique personality. Bursts of colour, playful décor, and interactive elements drew attendees in, encouraging them to explore, taste, and capture the moment.
One of Chilltopia’s biggest draws was its variety of games and activities. From an interactive art board and stylish photo booths to pool tables, giant Jenga, and a lively picture arena, every corner offered something to keep guests entertained. Food vendors served up a range of delicious treats that paired seamlessly with the evening’s star attraction, bold and refreshing Smirnoff cocktails, expertly crafted at the mixology stations using all flavour variants.
The music lineup was just as daring: DJ Chella opened with smooth hiphop and amapiano grooves, DJ Mia raised the tempo and kept the floor packed with hit after hit, and DJ Etee closed with high-energy bangers that carried the party to the very last track.
Live performances from Twix Da Jims and Shoday, backed by professional dancers, turned the stage into a showcase of talent and energy, drawing loud cheers and nonstop movement from the crowd.
Guests were equally effusive in their praise. “I think the event is really cool. I feel good being here with my friends, and I’m having a lot of fun,” said Chinaza, one of the attendees. Elijah, another guest, admitted, “I heard about the event from a friend but honestly wasn’t expecting much. Getting here, I’m blown away. I think Smirnoff did a really good job putting this together.”
By the time the night wrapped up, it was clear that Smirnoff hadn’t just asked Lagos to Dare to Chill, they had created an experience that made chilling irresistible. Chilltopia proved to be more than an event; it was a statement, a celebration, and a promise of more bold moments to come.
