The weekend is upon us, and we couldn’t be more relieved. Even though it’s going to go by so very quickly, you still deserve to unwind and relax, and we’ve put together a list of tv shows and movies to binge on this weekend while doing just that.

1. Endless Love

This is a fairytale like story. It’s everything we all imagine love to be.

Based off a 1979 novel by Scott Spencer, this movie (also a 1981 remake of the same name) is about a reclusive girl who doesn’t socialize much, especially since after the death of her brother, until she meets and falls in love with a former classmate which ends up changing her life.

2. Why Are You like This

Set in Melbourne, Australia comes a relatable show about friends in their 20s trying to navigate life. With only just six episodes the show was able to tackle lots of things from sex, mental health, sexuality and even cancel culture.  It’s an overall awesome show that everyone needs to watch!

3. The Prince of Egypt

If you’re a 90’s baby you’ve definitely already seen this, but it’s such a classic movie, you have to see it more than once!

Netflix recently acquired the rights to this 1998 animation movie about two brothers, Moses and Ramses who grow up as best friends. However when one of them becomes a leader, their friendship turns bitter. It’s a biblical story but not much emphasis was laid on religion.

4. Sexify

An ironic show about an inexperienced girl and her friends who want to build a sex app to win a competition. It’s super hilarious and enjoyable!

Our editors thoroughly enjoyed watching this. A show that empowers women and openly talks about female pleasure? count us in.

5. Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal

In 2019 there was a scandal about wealthy white parents paying millions of dollars for their children to attend ivy leagues schools. This is one of the largest admissions scandals ever to be prosecuted. There were about 50 people involved in this operation including parents and admission officers, which some of them have already been sentenced to jail for, while others are still awaiting trial.

This documentary takes a deep dive into the deceitful and fraudulent methods used by Rick Singer to get the children of privileged and famous families into top U.S. Colleges.
