Ballantine’s Takes Its “Stay True” Ethos to Abuja with Seize The Day

Abuja has always had its own energy. Distinct from Lagos, unhurried in its confidence, and deeply invested in the scene it has built on its own terms. On April 26th, 2026, Varuna by The Good Beach became the setting for Ballantine’s Whisky to meet that energy where it lives. The brand returned to Seize The Day for another edition, this time making its presence felt firmly in the nation’s capital.

From 2PM to 10PM, the outdoor space brought together Ballantine’s MATES, DJs and producers who came to connect through music, culture and shared experiences. Ballantine’s Blended Scotch Whisky was at the centre of it all, at the bar, in the cocktails, and in the intention behind being there in the first place.

The lineup made the day special as PK, Banx, AP The Saint, Zino, Bob Jay, R Blaise, Borsh, Gigi Jasmine, Burna, Kendrick, and Dus Dus held the crowd across eight hours of music that moved through textures and tempos without ever losing the thread. Each set built on the last, the kind of programming that reflects a deep understanding of an audience rather than a playlist thrown together for an occasion.

Between sets, guests found their way to the Ballantine’s bar where the cocktail offering kept things accessible and flavour-forward. Ballantine’s and Apple, Ballantine’s Lightning, and Ballantine’s Sour gave the crowd multiple ways into the whisky, whether they were longtime fans or discovering the brand for the first time.

What the Abuja edition of Seize The Day reinforced is Ballantine’s ongoing commitment to building meaningful connections through music and culture. By investing in DJ-led experiences and creative communities across Nigeria, the brand continues to create spaces where people can come together, express themselves and Stay True to who they are. With every edition of Seize The Day, Ballantine’s strengthens its role in shaping experiences that resonate with communities across the country.

As Ballantine’s continues to deepen its footprint across the country, the brand remains committed to creating spaces where people can connect, express themselves and celebrate individuality. Through platforms such as Seize The Day, Ballantine’s brings its Stay True philosophy to life, the belief that progress comes from staying true to who you are, trusting your creative instincts and forging your own path rather than conforming to expectations. Through music, culture and community, the brand continues to champion those who have the courage to do things their own way.
